On Wednesday I watched Julie and Julia. What a story. Julia Childs was a pretty amazing lady, don't you think? One of the topics that interested me was their inability to poach an egg and that Julie had never had one before.

Poaching an egg is an art form, I think. I have had a like/dislike relationship with eggs.It has taken me awhile to become like eggs. I do not like them fried or the real eggy taste. But poached I can handle with loads of pepper and glass of orange juice.

I am no expert but the trick to poach an egg is to add a little vinegar to the water and add the egg when boiling and not before. I also like to have the lifter sitting under the egg to stop the egg from moving around to much while boiling. everyone has their own way they like their poached eggs. I like mine a little runny. If they are too runny I cannot eat them at all. I told you I was fussy.
