notes from the week + back to school emotions

2015 is the year my eldest daughter, Miss R, completes her first year as an early childhood educator leaving her stamp on precious children as they prepare for school. My baby girl, Miss B, is going into Year 11, ready to tackle her last two years of her high school education. How can that be time moves so fast and we do not realise it happening so fast as each year goes by. If I take the time to look back I remember my little angels with pride and joy and frequently look back at their lives and how sweet and kind they were and still are, thank goodness. I realise what a great job I have done in raising these precious lives.

Beth over at Babymac shared these lyrics they rang true to me as my daughters start a new rung in their ladder to the stars, building rainbows along the way. I am happy but sad all at the same time as it is getting closer for my little butterflies to fly the coup and make lives of their own.

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young

My emotions have been running on high this week as I have watched my social media feed inundated with all your gorgeous children going back to or starting school. I have read those emotion felt blog posts and, boy have they made my stomach flip as my youngest heads into her final two years of school. Sending love and huge hugs to all those who have those little people starting school for the first time.

I am one proud mumma. Wishing you all well as your children embark another year of happiness and adventure. Hugs to all. V x
