tips to be a more GRATEFUL MOTHER

I have to say that I am thankful everyday for my life and my precious daughter's, step family and their children. People need to hear that you are thankful to have them in your life. Words are not necessarily needed, it can be a simple gesture like a hug, a smile or just simply please and thank you.

Being a mother is both challenging and rewarding. Some ways to voice your gratitude are to -

Be vocal - being silent is keeping your thoughts to yourself and if you keep the thoughts to yourself then your loved ones will never really know how grateful you are. So tell your children, tell your parents, friends and family that you appreciate them.

Ignore the negative - we often hear and sense things we do not like. It is better to not complain but to stop talking about what you are not happy about and focus on the happiness in your life and all the focus will be positive.

Turn anger into thankful opportunities - we all get angry over certain situations but all that anger and frustration can be turned around by focusing on the positive and being thankful for the blessings you have in your life. A messy room can be a blessing that your teenage daughter is healthy and happy.

Take the time to de-stress - Work through the issues which you are constantly thinking about and be grateful that you have these people in your life to love, cherish and adore.
