7 ways to become more OPTIMISTIC

60 ways to become THE PERSON YOU LOVE

The new year is fast approaching and most people am to make the new year bigger and better than the one precious. I am hoping that 2013 will be my year and all I do will pay off [hopefully big time].

Optimism is to have hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something.

Surround yourself with positive people.

This can be hard if you have family and or friends who do not understand or support what you believe is what you would like to achieve. Try to distance yourself from the negative. When you have a more positive outlook you will then start to realise all the good that does happen to you.

Avoid over thinking everything.

I have to admit I am an over thinker and I need to turn it around and think of a solution. You can only think about one thing at a time. If you focus on solutions, the problem can rectify itself quite quickly.

Be proactive.

Start thinking about turning the negative situations around. 'If you do not like something, change it. If you cannot change it, change your attitude.'

Use positive affirmations.

Write or print off positive affirmations to help keep you focused. Your thoughts will soon reflect the affirmations you read.

Remember the past does not equal the future.

If you have had sadness or failure in the past, it does not mean that you will go through life feeling constantly disappointed. Look at minor let downs as lessons to prosper from.

Exude confidence.

If you show confidence on the outside your brain will follow. People who are confident stand up straight, walk a little faster and take bigger steps. Try doing this too and see how your mood changes.

Speak in a positive tone.

Even if you are not in a good mood, speak cheerfully and your mood will change. Use a positive tone at all times and you will be instantly lifted.
