Super Foods FOR KIDS

Foods our children eat influence everything from their immune systems, to their energy levels and bone
density. Revamp your fridge and pantry to include super foods with loads of nutrients to give little bodies
a health boost.

Avocado - substitute spreads containing the fat that clogs arteries with avocado. Avocado's have the
goodness of vitamin E and C, folate and fibre. The avocado are high in fat but it is the good fat which
kids can transform into fuel easily.

Baked Beans - A true super food which contain the perfect combination of protein and carbohydrates,
which are also high in iron to give kids loads of energy and to help them concentrate at school.
Serve with Vitamin C to help their bodies absorb the iron.

Eggs - Eggs contain every vitamin and mineral except vitamin C including Vitamin B12
(only found in animal foods).

Fish - Oily fish such as Salmon and tuna contain Omega 3 fats which are essential for brain

I know sometimes I need a reminder just how beneficial and healthy some foods are, so I plan on
posting healthy topics to get our kids and ourselves healthier.
